First Day to Explore Austin!

9:00am- Relaxing Stroll on the Lady Bird Lake Trail

Begin your day by taking a bike ride, walk or jog at the Lady Bird Lake Trail. You can also rent a stand-up paddleboard, kayak or canoe from one of the many rental shops along the trail and glide down the mellow river.

10:00am- Grab Breakfast at Austin Farmer’s Market

Head over for breakfast at the Austin Sustainable Food Center. This spot offers fresh and local organic produce. To experience the true local flavor, this is the spot!

11:00am- Explore the Austin History!

Head over to the pink-granite Texas State Capitol (1100 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701, United States). It is an impressive building with rich history.

Then head over to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum (1800 Congress Avenue), where you can know the story of Texas. Just 2 minutes walk from Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum is the Blanton Museum of Art (200 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard) which holds the fabulous collection of modern works.
Just 3 minutes walk from Blanton Museum of Art is the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum (2313 Red River Street, Austin, TX 78705, United States). This building holds about 45 million pages of historical documents from the time of Lyndon Baines Johnson’s term in office as president of the United States. Also, this spot houses displays charting his career and life.

2:00pm- Lunch

Want something traditional for lunch, head over to Texas Chili Parlor (1409 Lavaca Street, Austin, TX 78701, United States). This eatery serves American and Tex-Mex cuisines, and is popular spot among the locals.

3:00pm- Shopping along South Congress

10:00pm- Time to soak up in the Live Music Capital of the World!

Experience the Austin nightlife on Sixth Street. “Keep Austin Weird” slogan is in full swing at this street. You can catch a live show at one of the many spots on the sixth street, or grab a drink and dance into one of many nightlife spots.

1:00am- Are you Hungry?

4:00pm- Experience Nature!

Visit the Austin Nature and Science Center (2389 Stratford Drive, Austin). This is a “must-see” spot. It’s the blend of park, museum and zoo, and features native Texas animals. The major attraction of this spot is the Dino Pit Exhibit, a fabulous hands-on display where children can dig for fossils. Nice Collection of Exhibits!

5:00pm- Catch up a live performance!

Head to the Long Center for the Performing Arts (701 West Riverside Drive), which is 2.1 miles from the Austin Nature and Science Center. This Center holds classical music, ballet, comedy and opera performances. You can also go to the Moody Theatre (2ND Street District, 310 W Willie Nelson Blvd, Austin, TX 78701, United States) which features Austin City Limits- the longest running music event.

6:00pm- Grab a drink at Hangar Lounge

Go for drinks at Hangar Lounge (318 Colorado Street, Austin, TX 78701, United States), a retro-airport themed hangout fitted with astro-turf. This spot offers a beautiful skyline views.

8:00pm- Supper
